How Commercial Relationships May Appear on Skin Clinic Korea

Skin Clinic Korea is an independent information platform focused on understanding Korean aesthetic medicine. Our site may reference clinics, treatment providers, services, products, platforms, or other businesses operating in the Korean aesthetic medicine market, and some of those relationships can have a commercial component.

We think readers should be able to see that relationship clearly when they’re weighing what they read, so commercial visibility and editorial information stay conceptually separate here.

1. How We May Generate Revenue

Depending on the service or content, our site may generate revenue through advertising, referral arrangements, affiliate relationships, lead generation, sponsored placements, commercial partnerships, or other disclosed business arrangements. Not every clinic or business mentioned on the site necessarily has a commercial relationship with us.

2. Commercial Relationship Does Not Mean Medical Endorsement

A clinic might appear on our site because it’s relevant to a research topic, part of a market comparison, publicly visible in the Korean market, commercially connected to our services, or simply mentioned as an example. None of those reasons should be read as a medical recommendation — commercial visibility isn’t a medical endorsement.

3. Listing Does Not Mean Ranking

A clinic showing up on our site doesn’t mean it’s the best, the safest, the most experienced, the most suitable, or medically superior to another clinic. Where we do compare clinics, it’s worth considering the actual criteria and context behind that comparison — a comparison isn’t automatically a ranking.

4. Paid Placement

Where paid or promotional placement exists, we try to keep it distinguishable from independent editorial content. Promotional material shouldn’t be read as an independent medical assessment, and we identify commercial relationships where it matters so readers have the context.

5. Referral Relationships

If a visitor reaches a clinic through a referral mechanism tied to our business, we may receive compensation for that. That compensation existing doesn’t mean the clinic has been determined to be medically superior — we try to keep referral relationships and editorial assessment clearly separate from one another.

6. Price Information

Clinic prices can change frequently. A price shown on our site might reflect publicly advertised pricing, an observed promotion, a reported price, researched market pricing, or an estimated range — it shouldn’t be treated as a guaranteed quote. Before making a purchase or treatment decision, confirm the current price and conditions directly with the clinic.

7. Clinic Claims

Clinics share information about their treatments, technology, providers, experience, pricing, patient services, and results, and we may include relevant provider-reported information where it’s useful. But a provider’s own statement stays a provider’s statement unless something independent backs it up — appearing on a clinic’s website doesn’t turn a commercial claim into an independent medical conclusion.

8. Reviews and Patient Experiences

Patient reviews can genuinely help with understanding communication, convenience, wait times, clinic environment, perceived experience, and customer service. We don’t treat them as proof of medical effectiveness or clinical superiority, and having a commercial relationship with a clinic doesn’t change that.

9. Editorial Independence

We try to keep commercial activity and editorial judgment separate. A commercial relationship shouldn’t automatically shape our factual descriptions, research conclusions, comparison criteria, treatment explanations, or how we assess medical evidence. When something can’t be independently verified, we say so rather than presenting it as established fact.

10. Corrections and Changes

Commercial relationships, clinic information, prices, and treatment offerings all change over time, and we update information to reflect that where it’s relevant. If we spot an important factual error, we correct it.

11. Our Core Principle

We think commercial transparency is part of responsible publishing. Readers should be able to tell information apart from analysis, a provider’s claim apart from a patient’s experience, and promotional content apart from an actual commercial relationship — these aren’t interchangeable categories, and commercial visibility is never a medical endorsement.

Our purpose is to help international visitors understand Korean aesthetic medicine — not to tell them which treatment or provider to choose.
